Pin a drive to the taskbar in WINDOWS 7

The taskbar isn't just for apps and documents. With just a few seconds work you can pin drive icons there, too.

Right-click an empty part of the desktop, select New > Text File, and rename the file to drive.exe. Drag and drop this onto your taskbar, then delete the original file.

Right-click your new "drive.exe" taskbar button, then right-click its file name and select Properties. Change the contents of both the Target and Start In boxes to point at the drive or folder of your choice, perhaps click Change Icon to choose an appropriate drive icon, and you're done - that drive or folder is now available at a click.

Increase Windows XP Installation Speed

Normally XP installation takes around 40-45 minutes to complete, but using this trick you can save 10-15 minutes. Now, I have very helpful trick for those who frequently install windows xp operating system.

Just Follow these simple steps:-

1. Boot through Windows XP CD.
2. After all the files are completely loaded, you get the option to select the partition. Select “c”.
3. Now Format the partition.
4. Once the formatting is completed, All the setup files required for installation are copied. Restart your system by pressing Enter.

Now,From here begins the Simple trick to save 10-15 minutes.

5. After rebooting, you get a screen where it takes 40 minutes to complete or finalize the OS installation.

6. Now, Press SHIFT + F10 Key -> This opens command prompt.

7. Type “Taskmgr” at the command prompt. This will open Task Manager.

8. Click the Process Tab, here we find a process called Setup.exe -> Right Click on Setup.exe -> Set Priority -> Select High or Above Normal. Initially it will be Normal.

Thats it, the task is completed. Now relax your self and see how fast the installation process completes.

MULTIPLE GMAIL IDS FOR SAME ACCOUNT

You can have multiple email address of your existing gmail account just add "+" symbol after your user name then add anything followed by @gmail.com. Read the example below for better understanding.



My gmail id is beard@gmail.com, Suppose I have three friends meena, teena, veena and if they ask for my email address then I tell them its beard+ meena@gmail.com, beard+ teena@gamil.com and beard+ veena@gmail.com.

When they send me mail at this address it first goes to gmail server where it recognizes the mail id as beard@gmail.com and avoids “+” sign and anything after it. So any mail sent to beard+ anything@gmail.com comes to my inbox.

So If you have Boyfriend/Girlfriend tell him/her your email id as yourmail+ yourmate@gmail.com.

Note: TO check your mail you have to login as yourmail@gmail.com that is in my case beard@gmail.com without “+” sign.

Gtalk Multiple logins

Do you use multiple emails?
Do you use gtalk as a mail notifier?
Have you ever thought about using multiple logins in gtalk?
Then, this post is for you.....


All you have to do is right click the gtalk shortcut in your desktop and select properties.
Then, you've to find a field named target.
There it will look something similar to this......

"C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /startmenu

All you have to do is change it like this......

"C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex

And then click OK.

Now, you are ready to use multiple logins using gtalk....
